Farhan and Monica

Lately, Farhan really likes to play with TWind's new doll, Monica. First, he he would raise his eyebrows each time he saw TWind playing with Monica.
"Twind dah gede koq masih main boneka?" he said
However, later he was intrigued to play with that monkey doll.

After five sessions

Farhan has done five out of eight sessions of his swimming lesson this week. Yesterday I almost missed the chance to join the kids swimming since I had to attend office meeting. Thank God, my boss allowed me to leave the meeting earlier. I arrived as my dad started the car to take them to the swimming pool. Farhan called me out saying that I have to come along. Then I told them to go ahead and I would go there by motorbike.
His swimming skill improves a lot. Yesterday he already reached one short lap wothout stopping by cheststyle. He really enjoyed his improvement.
Previously he doubted that he could manage swimming one full lap, but i convinced him by swimming along beside him. Then later he could manage doing it himself.
His coach challenge him to join a swimming competition once he could manage swimming through the long lap. He looked really motivated.
Well, let's see how he improves next week :)

Swimming Lesson

Starting this week to the end of this month, Farhan is having swimming lesson twice a week, Tuesday and Friday afternoon. He is really eager to do this, even though none of his friends take swimming lesson the way he does...something uncommon for him.

Yesterday, i happened to accompany him having his swimming lesson at 4 pm. He kept asking all afternoon if I would go to the swimming pool with him or not. Yesterday's swimming seemed to be more fun for him since my two nieces would also join him going to the swimming pool.

As I watched him having his swimming lesson, I could see that he improves a lot. Yesterday was his second session and he already started to have chest style by himself without the coach's help. Even though, of course, it was still only 2-3 attempts. I could see that he was a lot more confident swimming in a deeper pool.

After he finished swimming, Farhan felt very hungry. His lips turned blue. My mom gave him the food we brought from home. He grabbed it and ate like a horse :)

Nathanael and Abigail

Nathan and Abby are children of a friend of mine, Lisa. This morning they came to my office (Lisa's too). As usual if they come to our office, they will play here and there.

NATHAN



















Nathan was writing alphabets and numbers on a blank piece of paper. He was sitting next to me. He was busy writing as he was busy telling me what he was writing about. Sometimes he took my hand to hold the pen together with him.
Then he started to write his own name. As he was writing his name, his mom came to my booth. She was surprised when she found him able to write his name correctly...N-A-T-H-A-N
Lisa : Eh dia bisa nulis....

me : great!... read it...
Nathan : ABANG!
hahahaaaaaa.... spontaneously Lisa and I laughed out loud. Nathan is indeed called 'abang' since he is the first child, but we never thought that he would speak out his name by saying ABANG...

ABBY
I finally got Abby's picture today. It's not an easy thing, you know. She is not like Nathan who is already close to me since he was small. But today she started to feel comfortable with me and call me melodiously, the way she calls her mom.
"Tante Windaaaaa...oh tante Windaaa"
her English is good...really good for a kid as small as her.
These two kids are so adorable... It becomes more adorable since they are close to me now =)

Aku pulang kantor. Lapeeerrr banget...berharap di rumah ada makanan...
Hiks..ternyata pepes ikan mas yg kuharap masih ada udah habis ludes dimakan bokap.
*sigh*
oke deh....
makan apa yaaaa...hoooo, ya udah beli nasgor di warung deket rumah aja deh.
Kebetulan Dara (seperti biasa) lagi main di rumahku. Aku minta tolong sama keponakanku ini buat pesen nasgor. Awalnya dia agak2 males karena lagi asik main gameboy. Tapi setelah aku bujuk kalo nasgor itu buat dimakan berdua dia, Dara langsung antusias... hahahaaa
ponakanku yg satu ini emang kaya ayahnya. makanan cuma ada dua rasa...enak dan enak sekali.

Maka pergilah Dara pesan nasgor. Waktu tau kalo aku pesan nasgor... Farhan langsung ikut minta.
Halah, paling dia cuma laper mata doang, begitu pikirku...Farhan memang sering laper mata. lagipula mamanya juga pas baru pulang. jadi aku ga menambah pesanan nasgor. kasihan dara juga kalo harus bolak-balik.

maka datanglah nasgorku... Aku ambil piring buat Dara dan aku. Tiba-tiba Farhan datang juga sambil membawa sendok...
"Aku mau juga"
tau sendiri...gak lama Mali ikutan nimbrung makan nasgorku....
heeee???? koq jadi banyak gini ya?
Yah sudahlah..mana tega aku...
ternyata bo...these kids giat banget makannya....
ihik-ihik....
jadilah itu nasgor sepiring dimakan berempat...sampe tuntas!

Eating meatballs

We just finished doing our monthly shopping at one of the hypermarkets. As usual, we would eat out somewhere. First, we wanted to go to KFC. "It's been quite sometime we don't eat junk food," my sister in-law said...wakakakaaakkk... we're missing eating junk food.

Unfortunately, we finished shopping quite late, so we could not eat at KFC. while on the way home, my brother asked my nieces whether they still wanted to eat somewhere...
These two girls spontaneously said "BAKSO!!!"

If Mali looks girly

Even though Malika is still boyish to some extent, she wouldn't reject if mama Ika suggests something to make her look girly... like this

Pizza Hut!... nowhere else...

Usually, during weekends or holidays, we would eat out somewhere. This time, my brother wanted to hang out in the center of the city. unfortunately my nieces objected their father's idea.
"Aku mau Pizza Hut!," Mali said. Dara agreed.
"Bosen dong," their father said.
"Pokoknya aku mau makan di Pizza Hut," Mali insisted.
"Ya udah, kita ke Pizza Hut, tapi bukan yang disini... yang di tempat lain okay?" I tried to compromise.
My nieces were still not happy with the answer. They still believed that their dad would eat somewhere else, since at first my brother said they would eat siomay.
There... along the way, these kids displayed 'bete' face until they fell asleep.
My brother then drove to Pizza Hut at the center of the city. It was completely a hard work to wake up mali when she already fell asleep. When we succeded in making her wake up, her face was still bete... like this...

Which one?

Malika can choose whether going by Twind's car or mama Ika's (Farhan's mom). Often times Malika would choose going by karimun since she can be together with Farhan. Anyway, Twind's car is not as cool as mama Ika's, she said.... =( (dasar anak AC)

THE KIDS

I create this blog for my nephew and nieces.
Previously I post things and news about them on my own blog. However, along the way I think I'd better create one special blog for them.

Let me introduce them to you

Farhannanda Virgiawan Nugroho Putra is my one and only nephew so far. He was born on September 3, 1998. He is my sister's son. Many people say he is handsome. He is even more handsome for me since he is my nephew. I'm really closed to him ever since he was a baby. When he produced his first word, it could only be activated by me (bangga ni yeeee)
However, as he grows up, he becomes busier with his own life =)
He is now in his 5th grade.





Dara, that's the way we call her, is my brother's first daughter. her complete name is Rista Diandra Putri. She was born on November 29, 2002. Some of my friends say she and I look alike =)
She grows up very fast. She is like her father. There are only two kinds of food in this world: yummy and more yummy food =)
Now she is in her 2nd grade of elementary school.





Here comes the boyish one. This one is the youngest. We call her Mali. Her full name is Malika Jeane Arista. She is my brother's second daughter, dara's sister. She adores farhan very much. Her motoric development improves so fast. She was born on September 28, 2004. She is a real good imitator. Compare to the previous years, now she is much girly, even though she satys boyish to some extent =)
Now she is in her kindergarten year



My nephew and my nieces are fond of eating at Pizza Hut, especially if I will be the one to pay for the bill...heheeeeee... They, especially dara, do not like to go by my car.
"Cape deeee", she would say that. That is because the AC in my car is not as cool as the one in the other car... hahaaaaa
These kids are the kids of air-conditioned generation. gak bisa kalo ga pake AC deeeee...
